The field of Medicine is one where science and social commitments walk hand in hand.
In order to fulfill the dream of creating such committed doctors, MAEERS MIT Pune, established, Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research (MIMER) in the year 1995 at Talegaon Dabhade, near Pune, India.
The institute originally affiliated to the University of Pune, is presently under
Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, and is recognized by Medical Council of India.
The college provides facilities for the MBBS courses along with CPS and DNB courses in
some streams of Medicine.
Post graduate courses in all branches of Medicine are likely to commence from 2007.

Currently it is a well equipped 500 bedded hospital with state of art equipments and ultra modern facilities like ICU, CCU, Stress test, CT Scan, Urology surgical units, Dialysis units, Blood bank, CCL, X-Ray and Sonography units, Incinerator for waste disposal and laboratory for Genetic research. The Hospital caters out patients care and indoor facilities.In addition to this outreach services are provided through Rural health training centre and Urban health centre. With large number of pateints visiting this hospital, the students get the opportunity to study a larger spectrum of cases. The students are deputed to Urban and Rural health centers in order to get exposure to rural health problems and hands on experience.
