–THEME; UNIVERSAL ACCESS AND HUMAN RIGHTS
CELEBRATED AT CRPF CAMP TALEGAON
An informative talk was given by Dr.Aastha Pandey under guidance of Dr. Mrs. Bandana Patnaik to CRPF Jawans at CRPF Camp,Talegaon Dabhade. The talk focused on various aspects of HIV/AIDS like Pathophysiology, mode of transmission and prevention and control measures. The Jawans were also informed about investigations, treatment available, ICTC, and National Aids Control Programme-III

The audience of about 200 CRPFpersonnel listened attentively and also participated in question and answer session. The programme was well received and appreciated by the CRPF personnel.


CELEBRATED AT OPD COMPLEX BHAUSAHEB RURAL HOSPITAL TALEGAON DABHADE
World AIDS Day 2010
1st December 2010

The world AIDS Day 2010 was celebrated in the OPD complex Bhausaheb Rural Hospital Talegaon Dabhade on 1st December 2010 from 11.00am to 12.45pm ,which was organized by the Dept. of PSM, MIMER Medical College, Talegaon Dabhade, to create awareness among the patients and their relatives attending OPDs as well as those present in the hospital wards. Dr. Chugule, Deputy Superintendent briefed about the current status of HIV/ AIDS, its treatment , misconception and government as well as NGO action to deal with the menace.
Dr. Deepali Gaikwad explained the HIV-T.B interaction & Dr.L.B. Khothkar Superintendent spoke about the theme. “Universal access & Human rights in HIV/AIDS” He inaugurated the poster exhibition & judged the two deserving students for the first & second prize. This was followed by the excellent street play by the Nursing Students on HIV/AIDS
They were given away 1st &2nd prize for their poster presentation Dr. R.D. Prayag, Professor PSM, along with Dr. Chincholikar S.V. Professor PSM, & other staff organized the event very effectively and successfully, Under the guidance of Dr. (Mrs) B. Patnaik, Professor & Head, PSM Dept.
CELEBRATED AT RURAL HEALTH TRAINING CENTRE , KANHE PHATA
The HIV/AIDS epidemic has crossed all boundaries and has brought up issues, which have wide medical, social, legal and economic ramifications. Health care providers continue to have important role in care and support of HIV/AIDS affected people.
The RHTC Kanhe of PSM held a HIV/AIDS awareness campaign mainly targeting youths & ANC mothers. The campaign – involved activities like street plays, lectures and rallies
With the help of Interns its massage is spread at village Ahirwade and at PHC Kamshet.
This entire programme was held under the guidance of I/C RHTC & Head PSM, Department Prof. Dr. Mrs. B. Patnaik.
CELEBRATED AT URBAN HEALTH CENTRE TALEGAON DABHADE.
An awareness programme was held to observe world AIDS day at an Aanganwadi near Urban health centre. A group of interns guided by lady medical officer of UHC, Dr .Ashlesha Dandekar spoke about HIV/AIDS ,Pathophysiology, mode of transmission and preventive aspects. The audience comprised of Anganwadi workers, adolescent girls, pregnant mothers and other ladies from the community. The people were also informed about investigation modalities,
treatment and ICTC centers. Good audience interaction and appreciation was seen.
