World Health Day 2011 World Health Day was celebrated on 7th April 2011. The theme as declared by WHO for the year 2011 is Anti Microbial Resistance and Its Global Spread. On this occasion dept. of PSM, MIMER Medical College, had organized a poster competition and street play in the OPD complex of Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon Rural Hospital. Dr. D. Bhoge, HOD Medicine and Dr. Choughule Hospital Administrator were the chief guest for the Occasion. Dr. B. Patnaik , HOD PSM, & Dr. Chougule lighted the lamp. Dr. B. Patnaik addressed the audience and falicited the chief guest and judges for the poster competition. She told the need of regular and complete treatment so stronger antibiotics can be avoided. Dr. Bhoge described the importance of simple treatment and unnecessary use of antibiotic. Dr. Bhoge inaugurated the poster presentation. Dr. Mrs. A Khare, HOD Microbiology and Dr. R. Wagh HOD, Pharmacology were judges for the poster competition. Cash prizes were given to 1st and 2nd prize wieners. In category of students , Interns and Nursing students. More than 50 OPD patients were present to appreciate the Street play which was in acted by Interns. Dr. Ashlesha Dandekar did comparing. The Programme was organized successfully under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. B.Patnaik Professor and HOD PSM.
