Multi diagnostic camp was arranged by MIMER Medical College, Talegaon Dabhade in collaboration with Health Services, Government of Maharashtra on the auspicious occasion of Maharashtra Day i.e. 1st May 2010.
225 patients attended the camp.
30 Doctors from 11 specialties from MIMER Medical College provided services in the camp.
Mr.Chandrashekhar Bhosale, President of Patient welfare committee and member of Health committee Zilla parishad, Pune inaugurated the camp in the presence of Dr.Suchitra Nagare Executive Director MIMER Medical College, Talegaon .
Dr.Nagre enlighten the audience that social responsibility and community welfare drives MIT in endeavors like this.
Dr.Mane Taluka Health Officer Maval expressed satisfaction about specialty services being rendered to rural communities through tertiary care centres like medical colleges.
Out of 225 patients 88 were from medicine and allied side where as 35 were from surgical side.
75 patients were obstetrics cases. 47 patients underwent USG for obstetrics reasons at Rural Health & Training centre, Kanhe.
8 ECGS were carried out. Routine hematological investigations were also carried out on 35 patients.
Physiotherapist from MIMER Physiotherapy College, Talegaon also provided Physiotherapy services to relevant orthopedics cases.
12 patients were referred to MIMER Medical College where further evaluation and treatment will be carried out at concessional rate.2 patients are admitted in MIMER Medical College.
MIMER Medical college will be extending such initiatives in Mulshi Taluka and expand it further in Maval Taluka.
Department of PSM, MIMER Medical College under the leadership of Dr.B.Patnaik Professor & Head Department of PSM organized the camp successfully.
